La Grande-1 generating station guided visits
Make a stop at the La Grande-1 power plant, about 45 minutes from Radisson.
A tour of the powerhouse and the nearby facilities will show you a magnificent example of human ingenuity: a structure built with respect for nature, fauna, and flora. You will also be able to see a video on the environmental studies carried out in collaboration with the Crees.
Plan a stop at the Upichiwin lookout, near a traditional Cree fishing site.
How visits work
Because of the important distance between Robert‑Bourassa and La Grande-1, it is impossible to visit both installations during the same day. Planning a 3-day stay is necessary to do so.
Transport to LG-1 is not included. Please plan a 1h15 travel time to reach the guided visit's departure point.

Visitors must drive their vehicules to the La Grande-1 information center before the tour (85 km from Radisson, direction Chisasibi)
