Réserve faunique des lacs-Albanel-Mistassini-et-Waconichi

A territory of breathtaking scale in the heart of northern Quebec, the Lacs-Albanel-Mistassini-et-Waconichi Wildlife Reserve is home to the largest natural freshwater lake in Quebec, Lake Mistassini, stretching 176 km, as well as the legendary Lake Albanel, both renowned destinations for anglers in pursuit of trophy fish. Walleye, lake trout, brook trout and northern pike populate these vast waters.

Visitors can stay in the charming wood-walkway-connected cabins at the Waconichi site, set up camp at the well-equipped Pénicouane Bay campground, or venture out independently along the shores of the great lakes. Whether for a solo expedition, a family outing or a serious fishing trip, the reserve delivers an experience as vast as its landscapes. Note that a weekly draw governs access to certain lakes.
